A Boy I Used to Love

by London Casey & Jaxson Kidman

A second chance story that leaves no stone unturned in its pursuit of a happy ever after.

This is the consummate good girl, bad boy romance, the sort that no matter will go the distance, well that is what you might thing initially because River and Lacey were poles apart, he was the bad boy from the wrong side of town that her parents had no intension of letting her be with but that she was willing to defy them to be with…right up until they pulled the rug out from beneath her and ensured that her options weren’t only limited they were sterilised….go with them to live in New York or stay behind and be with River and they would disown her! The flush of young love aside, that was as stark choice for anyone to have to make but when River encouraged her to go and they made their young love promises to see each other, you just knew that life was going to drive a wedge between them that may never be overcome.

River waited every year for the woman that walked out of his life to walk back in, he never thought that it would take a decade to get her back but when she stepped from behind the wheel of her car, the missing piece of his heart was back where it belonged and they both knew it.

Stepping back to his life was as easy as slipping on a comfortable pair of shoes, it felt right for Lacey, he felt right and for the first time in a long time she felt peace. Her heart recognised that he was her home, they just had to find a way to make it work. They had so much to go through, so many plans to make and decisions to not only talk about but make, after all they had 10 years to make up for and I have to say they lost no time in making up for the time they had been apart!

They each had an inner strength that had helped them to prevail while they had been apart and now they were together I thought that they would be all the stronger for it but life had another kicker for the two of them to overcome and when everything they were building was almost ripped away from them at one point and I was on tenterhooks as the author unveiled the resolution!

A beautiful story of love and patience, of letting go of love in the hope that it will one day return and of the joy that a love reunited brings to your soul, this was as touchingly sensitive as it was heart-warmingly sensual!
