At Her Own Risk

I feel conflicted on what I should and shouldn’t say about this book and for me that is not a very comfortable place to be. I usually find that I can come down on one side of the fence or the other but the characters in this had me wondering WTF a few more times that I am normally comfortable with.

I liked Paige in the main but that didn’t mean that there weren’t times that if I could have gotten my hands on her I wouldn’t have been ready to throttle her, she was so stubborn.

Sean was a tad more straight forward but again on occasion I wanted him to bring out all of the alpha tendencies that I think he was keeping a reign on. I didn’t like that on occasion he felt slightly tethered.

The angst and attitude between the two of them made for very interesting reading, they certainly had enough going on to ensure there was never a dull moment and I thought that the author was cleverly creative in the deployment of not only the most subtle humour but a bucket load of romance.

I loved the realism that the author brought to the story, she took their issues and gave them time to not only explore but expunge…she gave Paige and Sean the opportunity to open their hearts and minds and in turn that allowed them the opportunity to force their way into my heart.

Overall this was more than I thought it was going to be, it was a super read!
