Balls by Andie M Long

As a Brit, I have to say that I loved the dialect, the inclusion of local colloquialisms and the breath of fresh air that this story brought to my otherwise dull day!

This was a short read but it was time very well spent,

Camille suffered through school and couldn’t wait to get away from the daily torment she suffered at the hands of Dylan, he really was the pain in her ass that she couldn’t wait to see the back of.

But when her stint at Uni is over she heads back home, more confident and content that she is no longer that walk over, she can hold her own and they will never make her feel the way they did again but is it all bravado or can she flex her new found muscle and make them all take notice?

I loved her confidence and her attitude she was a fantastic character but she lives in a small town and everyone knows everyone else’s business it was only a matter of time before the people and past would come knocking on her door and in some respects her confidence.

But when she meets her ex, Jack, I wasn’t sure exactly how things were going to ride out, mind you that is no different than my emotions for much of the book, the author did an amazing job of filling the story with fabulous characters that did everything they could to keep me on my toes.

Honestly it was a full time job just keeping on top of all the shenanigans, especially Camille’s mum, Oh and her best friend Beth…really in some books they would have been locked away they were hazardous to her sanity!

I smiled my way through huge chunks of the story, I laughed out loud for much of it too, really this was so funny!!!

As the first in a series, I am looking forward to the next book and I really want to hear more from both Beth and Camille’s brother Tyler.
