BITTERSWEET

A easy, pacey read that was well constructed and to the point, there was nothing ambiguous, nothing left to chance, the authors had crossed every “t” and dotted every “i” and it showed, the book spoke volumes…a fabulous romance.

I liked the fact that the story was delivered from dual points of view, that both characters, Romy and Elio were heard and that I had the opportunity to listen to what they had to say.

I got that some of what was going on was predictable but that by no means detracted from the story because there were pockets of the story that caught me completely off guard. On more than one occasion, I was left scratching my head with the pair of them, if I could have reached into my screen I am not sure who I would have throttled first!

At times they seemed to be their own worst enemy, victims of not only the assumptions that they made but also by the fact that stupidly they forgot that the best way to eliminate mistakes is to talk… I lost count the number of times I sat abjectly shaking my head at my kindle screen…dismayed at the pair of them.

The collaboration of the authors was new (from what I can tell) but I would say that I didn’t think that is showed, I  look forward to seeing if they join forces again. Overall, a well written read.
