Exactly Like You

This is the first book in the latest series from Lori Sizemore and I will say now that if this is story is anything to go by I cannot wait to read the rest, I loved this.

I loved the push and pull between Aidan and Roxie, the fact that he was willing to see the woman inside and not the shell of a woman that she appears to be.

Living with her folks gives them grounds to worry about her and also gives her grounds to worry about them worrying, so she is well and truly caught in a cycle that she doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to break, but living with depression on a day to day basis is draining and I thought that Roxie’s personal displayed all the traits of a woman teetering on the edge of almost giving up. So, when she ignored the invitation to Cupid Café I wasn’t surprised.

Aiden on the other hand is maxing out on life since he lost his wife, her death leaving a void that his is filling by taking more risks than is probably healthy but it keeps him sane!

Roxie was a major part of Aiden’s, so when they both end up at the Cupid Café… was cupid ready to come out to play????

I loved that Aidan was willing to encourage Roxie to think outside the box, to do things that she had never done before and to take back control of her life, but would what started out as the most fabulous friendship turn into something more?

The something that they both needed?

Well you will have to read the book to find out whether that is the case or not but let me just say that you may just be more than a little surprised.
