FIRE

This picks up right off the back of the first book and the intensity doesn’t let up, so if you haven’t read book one ICE then you really should pick it up first.

There is a twisted depth to the book that is almost too much to fathom at times.

Kaleb is in a danger situation, now I know that, that isn’t necessarily anything unusual when it comes to him but if you think for one minute that the authors are going to let him off lightly you are very much mistaken because they just keep piling on the pressure.

This a great read, in as much as it is completely unpredictable.

There are hurdles overcome that are more complicated than you could possible comprehend and people from the past that are back to make sure that they get the answers that they are looking for by any means.

I appreciated the dynamic between Jade and Kaleb, that may seem like a strange thing to say but is the only way I can honestly think of how to describe the way their reaction, behaviour and experiences made me feel. The book gave them both the opportunity to voice their feeling and they were not exactly shy at saying exactly what they were feeling and that direct approach cut through much of the fluff that many relationships seem to be festooned with.

Jade was one sassy lady who was more than able to not only keep her man in his place but also make sure that she is never left wondering what if, the is one tough cookie who will do whatever she has too to make sure she gets what she wants.

Kaleb on the hand, wow what is there not to like. He is more than willing to watch as Jade flex’s her verbal attitude but when it comes to his verbal commodities, well let’s just say he has a mouth like a sewer and I for one very much appreciate the fact that he is willing to exercise that particular trait with consummate ease and abandonment – he is more than able to rock Jade’s world in every way possible and I was cheering them on all the way.

There is more to this story that you can shake a stick at but the story works because Jade and Kaleb work.
