Now, I think it is fairly obvious from that something extra ordinary occurs and it would be totally wrong of me to give away any details out in this review, you deserve better but let’s just say that the woman than walks out of the game is not the same as the woman you went in. A single solitary second, a moment in time when the world as you know it ceases to exist anymore and everything you know, everything you have and everything you are changes. In a single heartbeat you know that you will never be the same again. That is Lucy!

The story is almost overwhelming the depth of feeling, the danger, the mystery. The passion that is ploughed into each and every sentence elevate this to the realms of breath taking but as much as it is beautiful it is heart-breaking also.

The impact of the event is felt far and wide, her family find the situation divisive, her mother finding it hard to come to terms with while her father seems to be the only one that understands. Her husband, the man that she should be leaning on is also struggling not only to come to terms with what has happened but moreover his place in the whole situation now, he almost begins to withdraw from her and that seemed like a kick she didn’t need.

And then you have Heath…oh my!!

A knight in shining armour? Well only time would tell but as fast a Lucy was falling apart he trying to do everything he could to keep her not only safe but together, she seemed to be crumbling before his eyes and in a way I held him partially responsible.

I apologise now for the fact that this is so vague but I really can’t tell you too much, this is one of those books that you don’t just have to read you need to experience, to immerse yourself in and to absorb.

Superbly written, creatively complicated and stunningly beautiful, this was more than just a book it was an experience.
