I Will Love You For A Thousand Years

by Tommy Crown

This is only a short book, a mere few pages with which to fall completely and hopelessly in love with Ginger and Garrett. Time spent as children vacationing with their families on the lake, they grew close but what they felt was left on the table at the end of the vacation and they forged ahead with their lives without each other.

But their paths are set to cross again and the resulting romance was simply fabulous. Ginger may be deaf but she hasn’t allowed that to define her, she is a very accomplished pianist who now earns her living playing with a renown orchestra.

Garrett on the other hand has earned and accumulated his wealth which is considerable, while helping to guide his family business. But when he catches sight of an advert for the orchestra, he cottons on to the fact that this is Ginger’s orchestra knowing that, he absolutely has to see her.

I loved the fact that Garrett was desperate to see her and that his father was willing to help him gain access to the event, he made sure that they would meet when he gave Garrett a backstage pass- that is the sort of father you need.

It was almost as if they had never been apart when Ginger catches sight of Garrett, and from the minute they actually get to embrace, they are inseparable.

The story grows and develops, they take off and travel the world, enjoying themselves, each other and their amazing adventure but this little story has a huge twist in the tale and I have to say that I really didn’t see it coming, it had me wiping away tears with a vengeance but I can honestly say with  my hand on my heart that this beautifully tragic love story is one that delivered so much more than I would have ever thought possible in so few pages.

The author must have magic in his fingers because the ground covered, the emotion transmitted, the beauty brought to life on the page was simply superb.
