Low by Mary Elizabeth

Mary Elizabeth is a new author to me but after finishing the story I will hold my hands up and say that, Mary, you have a beautiful way with words.

This was a smooth read, each word was on point, each sentence carefully constructed and the flow, it was just perfect.

The story has so much going on that it is hard to pinpoint what to include in a review, but determined that you need to read the story for yourself, you are getting no spoilers!

Low lives on the wrong side of the law, he has no choice, he never has had but no matter how hard he tries, there just never seems to be a break in the angst. I felt so sorry for him at times, that I could have plucked him from the page in a bid to keep him safe not only from the world around him but also from himself.

But the one thing he did have going for him was a woman that loved him, Poesy was his woman and moreover he was hers and there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for her man.

A modern day Bonnie and Clyde I have seen it said, well perhaps but this pair don’t deserve to be compared, they stand alone and they stand strong.

A pair of characters that you will simply love, and yes I do mean love! They were enchanting, they snuck under my skin and stole not only by breath but my heart!

This book has everything that I love in a story, it was full of emotion and intrigue, and it was a break from the norm and something that I hadn’t anticipated. It had me biting my nails at some points but at other I could be found fanning my face.

But I finished the book with a smile on my face and that is a win in my book!
