Marry Me Mad by Katy Regnery

This never left my hand, from the minute I opened the front page until the minute I clicked over the last word, I was hooked. The second in the series this was a comfortable read, with characters that were totally captivating.

When Madeline catches her reprobate of a fiancé cheating on her yet again, she finally takes the plunge and kicks him to the curb. But even though she knows she has made a decision that was a long time coming she can’t help but feel sad and on a lonely wander through the street of the city she eventually ends up in a bar by the sound of the most enchanting piano playing, a sound she cannot ignore…little does she know that the guy producing the mesmerising sound is none other than her sister Jax’s ex, Cortlandt “ Cort” Ambler, although I will say that they were teenagers when they dated, so a lot of time has passed between then and now so you really shouldn’t let that previous connection put you off.

Madeline was happy drinking her sorrow away, but it doesn’t take long for her to resolve that in order for her to move forward she has to make the change, she has to stand up for herself and charge ahead with what “she” wants in her life. 

A mentally more attuned Madeline and a Cort that has always had a secret bit of a thing for her …did this mean that there was a happy ever after on the cards for this pair?

Like I said, Cort has always liked Madeline but I wanted more for them, they formed an unlikely friendship but it always seemed to be headed for more but could they get over the sensitivities of Cort’s previous relationship with Jax and Madeline’s feeling that she was stepping out on her sister by feeling the way she did about him.

Cort was a fabulous character, he was the whole package, handsome, humble and hot! He was the man that Madeline needed to bring out the woman she seemed to have hidden deep inside.

With Madeline and Cort you get a smart look at setting your stall out for a romance that needs to be nurtured. They brought out the best in each other and while their story was emotional it was also inspirational.

A story that was worth every second spent in its company!
