Storm

This was a bit more than I thought it would be.

Evelyn and Storm meet under strange circumstances, driving in a blizzard is never a great idea and that trepidation proves to be accurate when she ends up in a ditch.

Luckily Storm is passing and saves her but the result is a few days in his truck with nothing but his dog for distraction and each other for company.

Now I, could have thought of plenty to do in order to pass the time with this sexy as sin rocker and as much as I got the impression that she was desperately trying to fight everything she really wanted, I just wanted her to embrace her inner harlot and give this glorious man a chance. But Evelyn was an honest character, she was relatable and she was also in relationship, so the connection going on between her and Storm was going to ruffle more than a few feathers if she let her emotions rule her head.

This rock star was everything I could have hoped for and more, I got that he oozed arrogance but to be honest I didn’t really care, I just felt as if he was desperately looking for more than even he knew. He had an air of normalcy that I didn’t expect, he was willing to show the man behind the façade, and he was more than willing to put in the leg work to get the woman he wanted… could she resist?

Storm didn’t hide the fact that he wanted Evelyn and I loved the fact that she wasn’t fazed by who he was, she made him feel as if he could be the real Storm, the man behind the persona, it was as if she had a direct line to his very core but could he get her, that was the question?

The internal conflict pushed button for them both, and as much as infidelity is a no, no for me, I am not naive enough to believe that there aren’t situations as with Storm and Evelyn where a connection is more than just physical, when your souls connect, fighting that is a futile exercise.

I adored the verbal sparring and banter that the two of them shared, they were fabulous.
