I liked the story – in the main but it wasn’t completely without niggles.

Dante had me at odds with myself. I didn’t know whether I liked him or not.

I liked Ryleigh and I loved the fact that she was more than able to hold her own in the world that Dante revelled in.

His life was a collection of both dark and shade, it was mysterious, cruel at times and without compromise but Ryleigh let the situation envelope her and despite the fact that initially Dante’s motives were less than honourable, she was far more than he could have ever imagined.

If he thought he could break this woman, he was in for a rude awakening.

There was more to her than I anticipated and the connection between the two of them was complex.

Will they make or break each other or will circumstance break them both?

I found it satisfying that Dante had no idea that he had fallen for Ryleigh and I adored the fact that Ryleigh was able to stand tall and showed no fear when the word that they both now inhabited had them living a life that most would run screaming from.

The story was clever, written well and not at all what I thought it would be.

A sound addition to the Pericolo Series.
