A Thousand Boy Kisses

To the Author

I am so sorry but I cannot review your book, not that I don’t want too but more that I don’t feel I have words that could, would or should ever be considered appropriate enough to put across the way I feel having now finished it.

I have read too many books to ever begin to consider keeping a running total but I have NEVER experienced anything like my reaction to this book.

When I started to read A Thousand Boy Kisses, I had no idea what I was getting into and I am pleased that was the case because I think that as a reader this book needs to be experienced, without preconception or expectation.

My reaction to the story completely shocked me, it kicked in very early on and I can say nothing other than the emotion that you drew from me was both visceral and cathartic.

I met with a friend a few days ago and we both passed comment that we needed to find a knock out standalone soon, to almost bring back some of the unadulterated joy that reading instigates in us, and for me this is what you have given me.

This is probably one of the best books I have read in years.

Poppy and Rune are forever embedded in my life, and I think they have earned their place, their story was beautiful, it was complete, it brought hope, love and laughter all the while encouraging understanding and acceptance.

It taught me lessons and did so with a grace and dignity that I find unable to put into words.

I finished the book puffy eyed and emotionally depleted but full of gratitude.

I have no praise that could ever possibly be enough.

From the bottom of my heart ….Thank You x
