The Braille Club by J A Kerr

I’m not sure what exactly I have just read but I have to say it is probably one of the most interesting books that I have read lately.

The Braille Club was so different to anything that I have read that actually writing a review is not an easy task. The author was able to produce a story that was as enticing as it was intimate. It was deliberately evasive, it intimated and encouraged me to reach for fact and conclusions, all the while hiding just enough to break my train of thought.

The story didn’t unfold, it was unveiled, each page brought more than I imagined and added a little extra clue to the tale. I thought the characters that the author threw into the story were absolutely perfect, they were eclectic yet interesting and their story continued to develop with every flick of the page.

I like that the author almost baited me into taking a look at my own life, I think the sign of a great book is one that has you willing to look and question not necessarily your life but your reaction to events in it.

This did that and no…I’m not telling you what conclusion I came too but well played Ms Kerr!

With the next book ready and waiting on my kindle by the time I got to the end I found myself desperate, desperate to find out what happens next.
