I, Reader by Jane Geneva

Ok, so this was a new to me author and I as a rule I really enjoy reading and experiencing the characters that new authors bring to the fore.

So what did I think about the book?

I sort of understood the premise of the book, but I found Zoe’s actions somewhat erratic at times, and every now and then I couldn’t help but think that her reasoning was questionable but I suppose it was what worked for her.

Traded in by her hubby for a younger model, Zoe sort of took it a lot better than most.

To be honest I actually wondered what the heck she was on because I would have been completely raging.

It might be a little unfair but her rational left me with a cougar image running rampant through my head.

Could she start again, would Johnathan be her guy, her second chance?

As I said earlier, the book had a solid premise and for the most part i think it was heading in the right direction but there were bits of the book that rattled my cage so to speak and if you read as much as I do, that can sometimes be easily overlooked and on occasion grammatical mistakes be skimmed past but unfortunately in this instance they niggled me and I didn’t want them too.

But once I side-lined that particular exasperation I found that the story had a decent flow and had characters that certainly had a story to tell.

A short read, it won’t take up much of your time, but you need to go in with an open mind, the blurb doesn’t give much away, so neither will I with regards to what the actual story is but let’s just say that there are occasions when age is a definite advantage.
