Bootycall Part Two by J D Hawkins

Part two picks up, as you would expect right off the back of part one and before I get started – I would like to say that I really would have preferred this to have been one book.

But that is not to say that I didn’t love the book because I did.

The drama of Vegas behind them, Dylan and Gemma are trying to establish a norm, trying to find their middle ground and to carve out a relationship that will last but not everything is going swimmingly.

Watching as Dylan is slowly laid bare (Oh isn’t that something to envisage) – emotionally that is, was tough to read. Dylan has demons, and one in particular that he has buried so deep that the mere thought of unearthing it is enough to have his heart breaking.

The fear that, what he has with Gemma may fall around his ears at any minute has him terrified, she is the balm that soothes his soul, his reason to be happy and the only person that knows the real him, well except for his secret.

But when it is uncovered, can he salvage the relationship that means everything to him, can he make Gemma see that what he has with her is exactly what he needs?

The bond between the two of them is intense, both in and out of the bedroom (Oh and the shower!!!)

They are working work hard to put his past behind them and to make what they have work, and it was beautiful to read.

He loved her unconditionally and in handing her his heart he showed just how far he had come. Gemma was so strong, she felt his pain and internally she knew that beside him was her place in the world.

It was where she was destined to be and nothing was ever going to take him away from her.

They were funny, loving and sincere.

They worked hard and loved even harder.

They belonged together and I was delighted to see that the dream they had was one that they were prepared to fight for.

Together they gave me a story that was completely addictive, totally enchanting and endearingly honest.

Loved the characters, loved the storyline, and completely loved the book!
