Pleasure of Panic

There are some books that when you read them, they settle your nerves, sooth you calmly and allow your brain the opportunity to just be…nothing too taxing, a comfortable acceptance…not this!

Nope, this is the rooster standing at the end of your bed in the morning crowing incessantly until you pay attention, the annoying kid in the back of the car asking, “Are we there yet?” this makes demands and rightly so.

There were so many twists and turns that my head is still spinning trying to remember it all as I write this review, I was aghast at the path that the author marched along and it was a purposeful march let me tell you, there was no let up. The angst was to an entirely new level, it was difficult to draw breath at times but darn it who needs to breath anyway, I couldn’t get enough and I didn’t care!

I loved Issy, the fact that she was so strong, so resolute and such a bad**s, the characteristics that the author imbibed her with more than brought her to life, it gave her credence.

Finn, was another of the power brigade that the author packed the story with, she ensured that whilst his past was one that could seriously impact his future, I was delighted that we had the opportunity to see him find the fortitude he required to succeed.

Of course, the maestro behind the scenes was the enigmatic Jordan Wells and I found it fascinating the lengths he would go to orchestrate the antics that consumed their days. His cunning knew no bounds, he stopped at nothing to try to ensure that everyone was playing according to his rules…but was that a good or bad thing?

Well what do you think!

An absolute must read!
