Secret Lucidity

by E.K. Blair

There are stories that defy description, that as a blogger leaves with me with an impossible task because whilst I want to tell you every single little magnificent detail, I know that I can’t because some things are too good to learn about second hand and for me, this is one of those stories.
But I will say that as I approached the end of the story and swiped my finger over the last page, I immediately felt as if I had lost more than I could possibly fathom.
This was a love story that I have no idea how to describe, it left me practically speechless and as I am sitting here reminiscing about the read deciding what to write, I am still agog.
The character development was breath-taking, the author honestly leaves no stone unturned in her pursuit of perfection. From the get-go, I felt a connection to not just Cam but also the those that were important to her…especially David.
I liked that his role was one that grew as the story found its footing, that his importance to Cam was cleverly crafted and that as he helped Cam, he was also helping himself in the process.
The journey that the book took me on was edgy and engaging, the emotion that the author was able to pour onto the page was staggering. I felt my heart break time and time again, my soul started to pray for rest bite. I really hope you feel the same way ( and I mean that in a loving way…honestly!)
