Soulless by TM Frazier

Take a deep breath…and another…and one more for good luck because getting to grips with writing a review for this is far from an easy task in the aftermath of that sentence…

“Miss me, mother**ckers?”

This whole series can be summed up in just one word, epic.

First of all, we had the intensity of King, as we got to know King and Doe and then my mind was completely blown in Tyrant as they fought to have their own screwed up happy ever after.

Next, TM Frazier unleashed Bear and Thia, in Lawless and I wasn’t sure that I could wait for this the conclusion of their story.

Soulless was supposed to give my soul answers, and for the most part that is exactly what it did, but those answers didn’t come cheap, they were hurled with the ferocity of a cyclone and they just kept on coming, time and time again I thought I had them pegged, that they couldn’t possibly find a way through, that hate and retribution was going to be their demise, and yet time and time again they found their way back to each other, they found their absolution and they forged a way through the hatred that would have destroyed lesser mortals.

This pair, much like King and Doe were on this earth for nothing other than each other, they were two halves of the same whole and they couldn’t exist without each other, the time the spent apart while Bear was in prison was devastating for them both but these was a path that needed to be ridden, it had to be walked down in order to ensure that their happy ever after was a journey they would both survive.

I really don’t want to give anything away as this is a book that should be experienced.

But let’s just say that the journey they take from enforced separation through to their own brand of happy ever after includes (but is not exclusive too)

  • Hostage taking
  • Resurrection
  • War (and that is putting it mildly)
  • Death of a much loved character
  • Unexpected alliances
  • Deception
  • Coyote’s
  • Tattoo’s
  • Familial secrets (and they are doozies)
  • Oh and a bucket load of unadulterated passion! They can’t keep their hands off each other

You will be astonished by the magnitude of the misery that Bear has endured at the hands of his father, he really is the most repulsive human being, his end was something I was wishing for, for most of the book.

I hope that we get to hear more from Rage, she was so serious at times, and complete demented at others but I found her absolutely intriguing, I really want more of her story!

This is an action packed read, one that you simply will not want to leave to rest for a single moment although you may just have to step away on a few occasions. The build-up and anticipation as the story unfolds is hard to assimilate at times and the anticipation of the outcome is enough to rob you of any and all rational thought.

Simply exceptional!
